Postpartum Doula Support

Honoring the transition. Oh my. What a beautiful way to describe the space that surrounds your birth experience:  a safe place, one of refuge, a sanctuary for one of the most profound moments you will ever experience.  As a postpartum doula, it is my hope that every birthing family can connect these feelings to their fourth trimester, the space and time that follows birth.  And while you may soar a course different than one you initially intended to navigate in bringing your baby earthside, love and support should steadily remain and your transition should be honored.  A postpartum doula can provide that and more.

Postpartum care is often viewed as a luxury when, in all truth, it is essential.

I am grateful to be considered as you search for a postpartum doula to invite into your sacred post-birth sanctuary and would love to meet you in person to explore together how best to meet your needs surrounding your birth experience. I also offer services that lean on ancient traditional wisdom to enhance the celebration that this time should be.  As time allows, please take a moment to see if any of these offerings resonate with you.

Unsure of what to gift to someone you love who is expecting a baby? Any of my offerings can easily be gifted and also added to your gift registry! Customizing care packages for families is one of my favorite things to do in gift giving. Gift cards for services and products can also be purchased in any amount.

And as always, I am just a phone call or email away should you have questions.

Daytime Support

$35 per hour

4 hour minimum

Challenges arise in abundance during the early days and weeks of parenting, especially with a first baby, as most tasks can feel new and unfamiliar.  Establishing feeding and a routine are high on the list of importance, but so are rest and replenishment. Processing your birth and prioritizing self care land on the list too, but often get bumped from one day to the next as the needs of your new baby take most of your waking hours.

Having an expert on hand in postpartum healing, newborn care and breastfeeding assistance, helps create space for confidence and restoration as this new chapter begins.

A warm meal, prepared for you while you snuggle your baby.  A few tasks done around the house, while you take in this new baby together, as a family.  Breastfeeding education and assistance, right there at your bedside.  Restorative yoga practice to leave you replenished as your baby naps. These little acts of service lend big opportunities for a positive start to this next chapter of your life story.

These are your hours. Share with me how they will best serve you.

Overnight Support

$49 per hour

6 hour minimum

Sleep deprivation is a common thread that many new parents share in the early days and weeks of parenting.  With newborns waking every 2-3 hours to feed, and more often than that when cluster feeding, catching even an hour with your eyes closed and your body still, can feel impossible. It's hard to know which way is up when your day and night schedules are constantly flipped on end.

Imagine tucking in for the night with a nice warm cup of tea.  When your baby wakes to feed, they are brought to the breast without you having to leave the nest of your warm bed.  Following a wholesome time of feeding and bonding, you kiss your sweet one goodnight, maybe even enjoy another cup of tea or light snack that was brought in with your baby, and then continue your restoration until the next feeding time when they are again brought to you. Sleep. Feed. Snuggle. Repeat.

When you wake for the day feeling refreshed, a nourishing breakfast awaits you, along with a tidy home to enjoy for the day.

Diapers, burping, comfort, light cleaning, and meal preparation can all be done for you...while you sleep.
